We join Frances Segelman at her studio where she demonstrates how calipers can help achieve accurate measurements for her sculptures. The calipers convert from life size to the desired scale and help to achieve accurate proportions. Frances emphasises how the measurements are important when sculpting a clay bust of a model.
This clip is from Making Art Work, a BBC compilation of short films following six UK-based leading artists as they create new artwork from scratch.
